Project Overview

Ten Essentials ZW is a dynamic show created to explore Zimbabwe’s vibrant creative and media industry. Across nine inspiring episodes, it celebrates local artists, encourages collaborations, and highlights the stories shaping the cultural landscape.

01. Concept & Pre-production

The idea was to create an engaging platform for open dialogue and shared experiences within the creative community. Produced in partnership with University of Zimbabwe Creative Media Department students, the project focused on mentorship and hands-on learning, empowering young creatives to develop industry-level skills.

02. Production

Filmed at Studio Moto’s top-tier facilities, the show features an exciting lineup of creatives: poet and comedian MC Josh, music producer and studio manager Dankillah, trailblazer Young Kay C Jnr, cultural promoter Plot Mhako, singer-songwriter Vera ZW, actor and comedian Tinashe Fortune, bassist Malachi, creative Rudawiro Katsande, and content creator tynoemus18.

03. Post-production & Results

The series was edited to deliver a lively and authentic viewing experience, enhanced by professional-grade sound design, impactful visuals, and an original soundtrack. Each episode resonates deeply with audiences, creating a meaningful connection to Zimbabwe’s creative scene.
